The Neuromuscular Division at the University of Florida has available positions for a Neuromuscular Fellow for the 2022 academic year. This is a 1- year ACGME-approved fellowship. The UF Health Shands Medical Center and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center are referral centers for the North Florida and South Georgia region. Our program offers comprehensive training in adult and pediatric neuromuscular diseases, electrodiagnostic studies including single-fiber and autonomic testing, muscle and nerve biopsy reading, and botulinum toxin injections. Our division has ongoing trials in many neuromuscular conditions including ALS, myotonic dystrophy, CMT, FSHD, Friedreich Ataxia, and Pompe’s disease. Research opportunities also exist to collaborate with the many scientists at the University of Florida including the UF Powell Gene Therapy Center (Dr. Barry Byrne), UF Myology Institute (Drs. Lee Sweeney) and UF Center for Neurogenetics (Dr. Laura Ranum).
