Physicians in Training
Residents and fellows who become members of AANEM gain unique opportunities for professional networking with thought leaders in neurology and physiatry, avenues to explore career paths, and access to the best educational resources for NM and EDX medicine. Take advantage of these unique opportunities available to you while in training.
Young Physician Leadership Program
Connect with peers, develop leadership experience, and advance your career by participating in the Young Physician Leadership Program.
EDX can be a daunting and difficult subject, especially for early learners since it’s usually not an area that’s explored during medical school. Having a set of resources that are in one place and organized by the largest EDX organization is very helpful, both for the clinical side of learning as well as assessment/testing.Tunc Kiymaz, MD Sports Medicine Fellow, University of Pennsylvania
Take your training to the next level by attending the AANEM Annual Meeting. You will find sessions and social events designed just for residents and fellows (e.g. Resident & Fellow Lunch with the AANEM Board and Resident & Fellow Rush for free workshop tickets).
Present and publish your research by submitting an abstract to the AANEM Annual Meeting or applying for lectureship opportunities. Awards offer not only recognition, but also financial benefits such as free registration, travel reimbursement, and more from the American Neuromuscular Foundation.
