Our Neuromuscular program is unique as it is the only tertiary academic program in the state of Oregon. We also receive referrals from Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and California given our wide catchment area. We have several active industry sponsored trials, two Certified ALS Centers (Portland VA and OHSU), multidisciplinary amyloid, myositis, neuropalliative, and several Neuromuscular clinics. We staff a busy NCS/EMG clinic with four NCS technicians and three (soon to be four) Neuromuscular Attendings averaging about 40-50 studies per week. Additionally we have access to a large neuromuscular pathology library with an array of diverse cases. Didactics are given by Faculty and Fellows 2-3x monthly, and Fellows are encouraged to participate in scholarly activity during their 2 dedicated administrative blocks weekly. In the past 4 years fellows have had 1-4 accepted abstracts, case publications, ultrasound and MRI series, and other scholarly activity. Conference attendance is high encouraged and always funded.
