Membership

Technologists



Starting at $50

Technologist members shall be non physicians who are contributing to the clinical practice of EDX and/or NM medicine and who do not and will not perform or interpret needle EMG studies or interpret NCSs. Technologists performing NCSs must be under the direction of a neurologist or PM&R physician. Technologist members must receive a letter of support from a Fellow or Active member of the AANEM or a statement of responsibility from their supervising physician and must agree to meet other eligibility requirements established by the Board.

Advanced Practice Providers



Starting at $60

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including physician assistants and nurse practitioners, who agree they will not perform or interpret needle EMG studies or interpret NCSs, are welcome to join AANEM. Apply now for access to the latest NM education at an affordable price.

APP members must receive a letter of support from a Fellow member of the AANEM or a statement of responsibility from their supervising physician.

Other Non-Physicians



Starting at $60
Collaborator Membership

Collaborator members shall be non physician providers who agree they will not perform or interpret needle EMG studies or interpret NCSs, including but not limited to business or program administrators, non physicians who provide care to patients that works in collaboration with a neurologist or physiatrist to treat patients with NM diseases, or pharmacists that are interested in NM or EDX medicine. Collaborator members must receive a letter of support from a Fellow member of the AANEM or a statement of responsibility from their supervising physician and meet other eligibility requirements established by the Board.

Be sure to attend the AANEM Annual Meeting each year to learn about neuromuscular medicine, nerve conduction studies (NCSs), ultrasound (US), and network with other allied health professionals and physicians colleagues. (APPs who are not currently a member, who work with an AANEM member receive a discounted rate to the AANEM Annual Meeting and free membership for 1 year.)
