The University of Rochester Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited program offering high-volume training across the full spectrum of neuromuscular disease. Fellows gain broad exposure to adult and pediatric patients through specialized clinics and inpatient care, including MDA, SMA and newborn screening, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, ALS, peripheral neuropathy, and other complex neuromuscular disorders.

Fellows learn from 18 faculty members with diverse expertise across multiple neuromuscular subspecialties, providing access to a range of clinical perspectives and individualized mentorship. The program offers robust EDX and neuromuscular ultrasound training, with nearly 5,700 EMG studies annually, as well as opportunities to develop expertise in specialized diagnostic techniques and multidisciplinary patient care. Fellows can also participate in research and pursue individual areas of clinical interest within a supportive training environment.
