The ACGME accredited UVM Neuromuscular Fellowship provides advanced training in the clinical evaluation and management of adult and pediatric patients with disorders of the peripheral nerves, muscles, neuromuscular junction, and motor neurons.
Outpatient training occurs in the general neuromuscular clinic, myasthenia gravis clinic, multi-disciplinary ALS Association sponsored ALS clinic and Muscular Dystrophy Association clinics.

Inpatient training occurs through rotations on the inpatient neuromuscular consultation service.

Fellows also receive training in EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies, Single Fiber EMG, Nerve/Muscle Ultrasound, Autonomic Testing, Muscle/Nerve Biopsy interpretation, and Skin Biopsy performance and interpretation. There is ample opportunity to be involved in clinical and translational research.

Graduates of the neuromuscular medicine fellowship are board certification eligible for both:
• ABPN: Neuromuscular Medicine
ABPMR: Neuromuscular Medicine
• ABEM: Electrodiagnostic Medicine
