The task force was chaired by Ruple Laughlin, MD, with shared senior authorship among Dr. Laughlin and Drs. Corey Bacher, Pushpa Narayanswami, and Charles Kassardijan. Other members of the task force included: Drs. Mark Bromberg, Frank Buttgereit, Dubravka Dodig, Eoin Flanagan, Chloe Gottlieb, John Marshal, Rozalina McCoy, Sara Mitchell, Protish Tosh, and Partha Sinha. In regards to the project, Dr. Laughlin said, "It is our hope that this work will provide valuable support to all neuromuscular providers in the care of their patients. This idea originated from numerous conversations and discussions between myself and Dr. Kassardjian, beginning over 10 years ago. We are thrilled to see our challenges and hard work together with Drs. Bacher, Narayanaswami, and all the voting content experts culminate in this way, and we believe it will make a meaningful impact in the field. We would also like to thank the AANEM and the PIRP committee to support us in convening this task force allowing the culmination of this work.”
