A group of 40 adults with spinal stenosis who complained of nocturnal calf cramps (NCCs) more than once a week were enrolled in a study to measure the use of baclofen as a treatment for NCCs.

Patient Safety: Toxic Neuropathy Following Treatment With Linezolid

Linezolid is an antibiotic used for treatment of drug resistant gram-positive bone and joint infections and multidrug resistant tuberculosis. Prolonged treatment courses longer than 28 days have been associated with peripheral neuropathy and optic neuropathy. The neuropathy may become irreversible with prolonged use. Early recognition of toxic neuropathy and stopping neurotoxic medications increase the chance of symptom improvement.
