Considering: Neurology & PM&R Candidates

3 Letters of Recommendation requested for applying

This is a one-year fellowship in the diagnosis and clinical management of neuromuscular disorders and electrodiagnostic medicine. The program is designed to provide advanced knowledge and experience in the subspecialty practice of neuromuscular medicine beyond that expected of a general physiatrist. The program will familiarize fellows with all aspects of neuromuscular clinical practice from diagnosis to treatment. The fellowship includes a broad clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings of neuromuscular medicine. Clinical experience encompasses care of both pediatric and adult populations with a wide variety of neuromuscular disorders.

Fellows receive training in:
• The performance and interpretation of nerve and muscle biopsies.
• The performance and interpretation of electrodiagnostic studies in children and adults.
Partnering with the MDA and ALS associations, UC Davis has a strong tradition of providing excellent care to patients with various neuromuscular disorders. We are proud to be a leader in the field of PM&R, offering the only PM&R-based ACGME-accredited Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship.
