The University of Connecticut, Hartford Healthcare, and Hospital for Special Care Neuromuscular Fellowship is an ACGME accredited one-year program emphasizing a clinical bedside and research experience. We accept one fellow every year. The primary site is based at UConn Health in Farmington, Connecticut which is an academic health center and the home of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. While on site, the fellow will have exposure to world class neuromuscular education including outpatient practice, EMG teaching, and opportunities to engage in clinical and academic research.

The other major participating sites are the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain and Hartford Hospital in Hartford where the fellow will receive additional neuromuscular education. Hospital for Special Care affords the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary MDA and ALS outpatient center. Fellows will also spend time at the Connecticut Children’s Hospital pediatric MDA clinic. Our fellowship offers a diverse experience in the emergency, inpatient and outpatient management of neuromuscular disorders as well as advanced training in nerve conduction/EMG, single fiber EMG, neuromuscular ultrasound, chemo denervation, skin biopsies, and the interpretation of nerve and muscle biopsies.
Please join us on January 7th, 2025 from 6pm-7pm EST for our Virtual Open House. To reserve your spot, register @ https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYsd-yopzkoGNRZ_nOConJCEM16f9vxQ72J
