NYU Langone’s Department of Neurology offers an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)–accredited, one-year fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, directed by Christina Drafta, MD. Our clinical neurophysiology fellowship provides comprehensive training in an intellectually stimulating environment where inquiry is encouraged and clinical skills are expertly honed. At our academic core is a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience shared among established experts in the field of electromyography (EMG)/nerve-conduction studies (NCSs), neuromuscular disorder, epilepsy/electroencephalography (EEG), intraoperative monitoring, and sleep.

Fellows rotate through two main sites during their first year NYU Langone Electrodiagnostic Medicine Center at the Ambulatory Care Center, an extension of the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital and NYU Langone’s Kimmel Pavilion. NYU Langone Electrodiagnostic Medicine Center is the primary site for EMG/NCS training. Kimmel Pavilion is home to NYU Langone’s adult and pediatric inpatient video EEG monitoring units with active epilepsy surgical services, an epilepsy consult service, and the intraoperative monitoring (IOM) rotations. Sleep medicine rotations are located at NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center—Sleep Center.
