Our institution performs over 1900 EMG studies per year and the fellows perform a minimum of 500-600 studies in the year. Training in Single Fiber EMG is available. Ultrasound-guided EMG and Skin biopsies are also performed at the bedside. Conferences include neurophysiology lectures, electromyography conference and clinico-pathologic conference. Muscle and nerve biopsy reading sessions are scheduled with fellow participation. Clinical and/or basic science research opportunities are available. A maximum of 2 blocks of elective in electroencephalography will be a small percentage of the fellowship as elective time as part of the clinical neurophysiology fellowship for exposure and board certification preparation. Additional training in evoked potentials is available.
