Diagnosis Mild Distal Entrapment Neuropathies

Todd Lefkowitz3/16/23 12:00 PM (CDT)
Good afternoon,

I am writing as the principal investigator of a research team at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. We are conducting a survey on the teaching preferences on the diagnosis of mild distal entrapment neuropathies.

As an electromyographer, we are hoping you would be able to provide us with some insight into your clinical practices. Some of you may have already filled out our survey before prior to its updated IRB approval so there is no need to do it again.  If you are interested in participating, please use the following link on: https://redcap.northwell.edu/surveys/?s=Y73FEPXFKMTC4PMR

Please complete our survey only once.

We are also interested in hearing from any of your colleagues who perform NCS/EMGs regarding the diagnosis of mild distal entrapment neuropathies. If you feel they would be interested in participating, please feel free to forward them this survey.

This research has been reviewed by the Northwell Health Institutional Review Board (IRB). If you have any questions about your rights as a participant, or if you feel that your rights have been violated, please contact the IRB at 516-465-1910.

Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,

Todd R. Lefkowitz, DO, DABPMR, DABEM, CAQSM
Assistant Professor & Associate Program Director, Dept. PMR

I enjoy participating in the AANEM Connect Forum for a number of reasons. There are very fundamental questions posed on a frequent basis that cause me to pause and ask myself, ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’ Also, I continue to learn new things when others contribute their thoughts and experiences. Connect is an excellent opportunity for members to interact and to address any topic, including those that may not be discussed at an annual meeting or journal article.
