This is a one-year fellowship and the program provides extensive hands-on exposure to a variety of neurophysiologic tests and subspecialty clinics with participation in a wide array of clinical research programs under the guidance of fellowship faculty. You will train in both pediatric and adult neuromuscular diseases with a strong emphasis on electrodiagnosis. You will also have the opportunity to perform muscle and nerve biopsies and receive instruction in the interpretation of these biopsies. Expect to spend some time in the EEG laboratory and be exposed to intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring as well.

The mission of the clinical neurophysiology fellowship-training programs is to train mature, energetic physicians in the science and art of clinical neurophysiology and to produce physicians committed to the highest level of patient care. Fellows will acquire a thorough understanding of clinical neurophysiology and will learn to provide excellent care, including the appropriate work up and treatment of patients with wide range of neurological conditions salient to the different areas of clinical neurophysiology. Graduates of the program will be expected to understand the principles of systems-based practice, have superior interpersonal and communications skills, and to behave in a highly professional manner. Our mission aligns with that of the university with the goal of creating and discovering knowledge to improve the well-being of our state, regional, national and global communities and educate students through a comprehensive array of distinguished academic programs.
