2026 AANEM Annual Meeting: Funds Available for Physicians from Economically Developing Countries to Attend

The American Neuromuscular Foundation and North American Chapter of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (NAC IFCN) International Scholarships provide an opportunity for a limited number of physicians who practice in economically developing countries to apply for and receive funds to support their education through attendance at the 2026 AANEM meeting which is being held September 29 – October 2, in Orlando, Florida.
“The American Neuromuscular Foundation makes it possible for physicians from economically developing countries to receive quality medical education at the AANEM Annual Meeting that will help them diagnose and treat patients in their country with neuromuscular disorders,” stated ANF Executive Director, Shirlyn A. Adkins, JD.
The eligibility criteria, application process, and scholarships are the same for both the ANF and the IFCN international scholarships. Physicians must submit an abstract for the 2026 AANEM Annual Meeting to be considered for the travel scholarship.
Travel Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- Must reside and/or practice in an economically developing country
- Must have an interest in neuromuscular and/or electrodiagnostic medicine
- Must submit an abstract to the AANEM Annual Meeting
Award Benefit:
- $1,000 cash
- Free AANEM annual meeting registration
Applicants who submit abstracts for the 2026 AANEM Annual Meeting must have them in by the March 15, 2026 deadline. Selected applicants will be notified in the summer of 2026.
