2025 AANEM & Wake Forest Francis O. Walker Neuromuscular Ultrasound Course
Published March 03, 2025

Plan to attend the Francis O. Walker Neuromuscular Ultrasound Workshop presented by Wake Forest University School of Medicine and AANEM.
Led by Course Director, Michael Cartwright, MD, of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, this course provides participants with real-time instrument experience while supplying the contextual knowledge needed to troubleshoot difficult imaging cases, identify artifacts, and improve bedside resolution.
Attendees can expect lecture-style presentations, hands-on demonstrations of technique with individual experience opportunities, and case interpretations that focus on application in muscle disease, peripheral and cranial nerve imaging, and introduction to the use of ultrasound in evaluating musculoskeletal disorders. A small-group format facilitates questions and answers and tailors the educational experience to meet the specific needs of each participant.
The Wake Forest School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
