UC Irvine’s Department of Neurology has a 1 year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited fellowship program in Neuromuscular Medicine. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in Neuromuscular disorders including diagnosis and clinical management of inherited and acquired neuromuscular disorders (General Neuromuscular, Neuropathy, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, Myositis and Myasthenia Gravis Clinics), training in electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG, single fiber EMG, quantitative sensory testing and autonomic testing), as well as nerve and muscle biopsy analysis. Research opportunities are available and encouraged, as there is ample opportunity to learn about cutting edge neuromuscular clinical trials. Interested applicants should send a personal statement, curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation to the program director.
