How do I schedule my exam day/time?
The exam will be available all hours of the day on the dates listed above. You do not need to let our office know when you are planning to take the exam during that timeframe.
How is the exam proctored?
The exam is proctored via webcam, so candidates will need a computer with a webcam in order to sit for the exam. The ABEM does not provide a webcam for the exam. The exam candidate will need to use a computer with a webcam built in or obtain add-on webcam to be used for the exam. A strong internet connection and a quiet space will be needed (no one else can be in the room while you are taking the exam). The exam is proctored by AI (artificial intelligence) software, so it will flag certain eye or body movements as cheating (manually reviewed by our staff). More details on this will be provided closer to the exam date.
*Subsequent Attempt Fee
A reduced registration fee is available for those who have previously sat for the NMUS CAQ exam, but were unsuccessful in their attempt. Please email abem@abemexam.org for a code to be used during the online registration process.
