Exam Preparation
The ABEM certification examination is a 4-hour examination administered in Pearson Vue Testing Centers worldwide every spring.
Prior to the computer-based examination, a detailed analysis of individual questions is performed and a minimum passing score established. After completion of the exam, ABEM executive office staff will notify candidates whether they passed or failed
the examination.
No other information about the examination, examination results, or performance on subsections of the examination will be made available to the candidates.
Exam Content
The ABEM Certification Exam on consists of two portions:
- Written Portion - Tests knowledge in eight core categories of electrodiagnostic medicine
- Video Portion - Tests the candidate's ability to identify electrical potentials
