Vince Tranchitella, MD, Invites You to the AANEM 62nd Annual Meeting

6/10/2015

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 62nd Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), October 28-31, 2015, in Honolulu, HI. This is the premier educational event in the field, offering more than 30 CME credits of basic and advanced sessions for specialists at any stage of their career. Since we will be in Hawaii, this meeting will be casual. Pack your shorts, Hawaiian shirts, and sandals - the only suit you’ll need is a bathing suit! The AANEM version of the swear jar will be in effect at the meeting - if you wear a suit or tie, you’ll be asked to donate $20 to the Foundation!

I’m often told that the AANEM Annual Meeting is special because it offers multi-specialty cross training in a setting that’s smaller and more intimate than some of the larger specialty meetings. The AANEM Annual Meeting brings together healthcare professionals interested in research, diagnosis, and clinical management of patients with muscle and nerve diseases. You’ll learn about cutting edge advances from the researchers themselves, and have the chance to advance your techniques at hands-on workshops. One of the best parts of the meeting is the ease of networking with leaders in the field. Feel free to introduce yourself on a coffee break or during a social event.

This meeting is a great value. Twenty eight sessions on neuromuscular issues—included in every attendee’s general meeting registration—address topics such as Genetic Issues in Neuromuscular Disease, EDX and Ultrasound Mononeuropathies, NM Update in Autoimmune Disorders, ALS: A Practical, Evidence Based Approach to Care, and much more. This year’s plenary centers around value, quality, and excellence in a healthcare system that’s constantly changing. It will be led by world-class speakers, including Stephen Beeson, MD, author of Practicing Excellence: A Physician’s Manual to Exceptional Health Care. Poster sessions, the exhibit hall and several networking opportunities are also  included in your registration fee.

Bring your family along to enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer. I look forward to seeing you there.

Vincent Tranchitella, MD
2015 AANEM president
