Technologists: Obtain CEUs and Checkpoints at the 2018 AANEM Annual Meeting!

The 2018 AANEM Annual Meeting is an excellent venue for technologists to earn CNCT Checkpoints and continuing education units (CEUs). A wide selection of free sessions is available and most offer CEUs. Some of our workshop sessions also offer CEUs.

CEU Information
CEU credits are listed next to each session/workshop description in the 2018 Annual Meeting Planning Guide and will be listed in the Meeting Program to be distributed in Washington, DC. A link for claiming CEU credit will be sent closer to the meeting date. A quiz is not required to claim CEU credit while at the meeting. 

CNCT Checkpoint Information
Technologists can attend the following courses to earn up to 3 Checkpoints toward CNCT maintenance of certification through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM). AANEM will report completion to ABEM. One free Checkpoint, for AANEM members and non-members, is added for attending the annual meeting.   • Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00 am: Basics With the Experts*
  • Thursday, October 11 at 1:30 pm: Demyelinating Neuropathies*
  • Friday, October 12 at 1:30 pm: Entrapment Neuropathies*               
*Session Checkpoints are free to AANEM members. Nonmember price is $50 each. 
The 2018 AANEM Annual Meeting is taking place October 10-13, 2018, in the Washington, DC area at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Further information about the meeting is available on the AANEM website. 
Membership = Savings!
Becoming an AANEM Member gives you a greatly reduced price on your Annual Meeting registration. A $50 membership saves you $150 on meeting registration (net $100 saved). For CNCTs, it will also give you access to 3 of the Checkpoints at the meeting at no additional cost (up to an additional $150 saved). This is a $250 savings for CNCTs who plan to attend the meeting! 
Nonmember technologists wanting to attend the 2018 AANEM Annual Meeting will need a physician to complete a Letter of Support. Additionally, nonmember technologists must call the AANEM office in order to process their meeting registration. A similar Letter of Support will be required when applying for membership.
