Please Respond: Private Payer Reimbursement Survey

9/9/2013

woman at computerAANEM has been hard at work to identify strategies and develop resources to respond to the recent Medicare reimbursement cuts. We are in the process of putting together materials that will support our advocacy efforts with private insurance companies. We need your help to provide us with accurate and timely data.

Please complete this survey identifying your top private insurance payers and the average percentage above/below the 2012 Medicare fee schedule you were reimbursed for EMGs and NCSs. If you need to gather the data, please do so before beginning the survey. (View the PDF of questions in advance) This information will help give us a more accurate perspective on what is happening around the country, as well as a solid basis to support our arguments with private payers on reimbursement issues.

The data we are requesting is from 2012, and is legally permissible for us to collect based on a safe harbor provision in the antitrust laws. Please note that all information will be de-identified and cannot be traced back to any AANEM member, institution, or practice.

This very short survey will take about two minutes of your time. It is extremely important that we receive a high response rate to support our position. Our successful advocacy efforts depend on getting as much information from members as possible.

Before starting the survey, view the survey questions in advance (PDF) so you know what data should be gathered. (IMPORTANT: Please use the Take the Survey link to complete the survey and maintain confidentiality. Do not email the completed PDF to AANEM.)

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
