Mobile EDX Labs Provide Substandard Patient Care

AANEM’s Professional Practice Committee released a new position statement on mobile diagnostic laboratories this week, stating, “Many mobile diagnostic laboratories testing companies are offering substandard electrodiagnostic (EDX) services.”

The position statement outlines basic Medicare rules for independent diagnostic testing facilities and describes characteristics of substandard EDX care found in many mobile laboratories. It concludes with AANEM’s recommendations on proper performance of EDX medicine. Download the position statement
