The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) launched a completely redesigned website on April 27. It is based on feedback from AANEM members and features a mobile-friendly design to meet the needs of physicians, technologists, training program directors and coordinators, the general public, and other groups seeking more information about all aspects of caring for patients with neuromuscular (NM) disorders.
“We hope our website users find it to be a convenient tool supporting them in their efforts to learn about the AANEM and its programs and resources,” said AANEM Executive Director Shirlyn Adkins, JD. “Please know that we welcome and appreciate any feedback you have on how our website can be improved.”
The redesigned website features:
-
Reorganized educational product list that allows the user to sort by topic or product type
-
Reorganized and expanded navigation menu
-
An easy-to-use button bar linking users to the most common tasks
-
A new “member portal” that groups together featured AANEM membership resources and benefits
-
A new advocacy action center to engage users in AANEM’s advocacy efforts
-
A section for patients to find information on NM disorders, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies
-
Easy access to information on continuing medical education, maintenance of certification, practice guidelines, and position statements
The AANEM is a membership association dedicated to improving the quality of patient care and advancing the science of NM diseases and EDX medicine by serving physicians and allied health professionals who care for those with muscle and nerve disorders.
