Junior Members Urged to Apply for Leadership Liaison Opportunities

1/11/2012

The AANEM is accepting applications for Junior Member Leadership Liaisons.  The selected appointees will attend our spring and fall Board of Directors meetings. In addition, the liaisons will attend the Marketing Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee, and other AANEM committee meetings as needed to provide input on issues and initiatives related to Junior members. The Liaisons have full voting member rights at the Marketing Committee meetings and are considered nonvoting guests at the Board of Directors meetings. Selected candidates have all meeting-related expenses paid by the association, including airfare, hotel, and meeting registration fees. One Physical Medicine and one Neurology Junior member will be selected to serve as Junior Member Leadership Liaisons.

Junior members may apply for a liaison position or be nominated by a program director. Junior member applicants can be in their third or fourth year of residency and must be enrolled in a training program as of October 2012. All applications will be reviewed and final selection made by the AANEM Board of Directors. The term will begin in October at the 2012 AANEM Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, and will end after the 2013 meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Deadline for Junior Member Leadership Liaison applications and nominations is March 31, 2012.
