Enhance your Learning, Advance your Career

Maybe you're interested in learning more about a career in neuromuscular medicine, or maybe you've already decided that it's what you want to focus on. Either way, AANEM is dedicated to being your partner in that journey.

Resident and Fellow Leadership Liaisons

This leadership development program for resident and fellow members gives selected liaisons an opportunity to provide assistance and insight into new strategies and initiatives. Liaisons share input on young physicians' needs through participation at AANEM Board of Directors and designated committee meetings.

Resident & Fellow Member Recognition Award for Research

This award encourages young physicians to conduct research in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. Resident & Fellow members who are the first and presenting author of an accepted abstract for the Annual Meeting receive a $200 cash reward. Abstract submission deadline is March 1 each year.

Golseth Young Investigator Award

The Golseth Young Investigator Award is presented annually to a medical student, resident, fellow, or physician who has completed residency or fellowship training with the past three years and is the first author of original research in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine. Deadline for submission is March 15 each year.

AANEM Career Center

The AANEM Career Center is an easy way to search for new neurology, physiatry, and electroneurodiagnostic technologist positions throughout the U.S. The Career Center allows you to:
  • Search for jobs by discipline, location, keywords, and other filters
  • Define your job criteria and automatically receive notifications when a new job is posted that meets your specifications
  • Utilize a resume-builder to post your resume confidentially and share it with employers

Contract Negotiation

Negotiating a contract can potentially be an anxiety provoking task, but it also can result in major rewards. Practically, every written contract can be improved with the addition or enhancement of any of the provisions therein.
