Meeting Objectives

The 2022 Spring Virtual Conference will focus on improving patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal communication, professionalism, leadership skills, and systems-based practices to diagnose and treat patients with NM and MSK disorders including the latest information on diagnosis, therapies, and interventional procedures.
After attending this activity, attendees will: 
  • Enhance their ability to obtain a comprehensive patient history and examination; improve their ability to develop a differential diagnosis and direct appropriate diagnostic workups; assess rehabilitation potential for patients with NM and MSK disease; treat patients with neuropathic pain, nerve injuries and related issues in NM disease; and address rehabilitation needs or patients.   • Develop technical skills necessary to perform neurologic, EDX, and ultrasound; identify and describe important EDX concepts; utilize the latest clinical guidelines, techniques and strategies, and US findings; develop awareness treatment, therapies, and side effects; and discuss the latest literature on NM disorders. (Medical knowledge, Practice-based learning) 
  • Improve ability to communicate with and educate patients, families, and members of the healthcare team; enhance awareness of patient confidentiality issues as they relate to patient care; demonstrate professionalism in clinical, research, and academic practice; and improve leadership skills related to conflict management, diversity, financial knowledge, and professional growth.   • Develop strategies for utilizing US and EMG in other practices, awareness of cost of emerging treatments and therapies; and identify and access supportive healthcare services and mechanisms that improve patient care and patient quality of life. (Systems-based practice)
