Self-Assessment Credit and Checkpoints

Self-Assessment CME for Physicians

In addition to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, all registered physicians can earn up to 27 FREE Self-Assessment (SA) CME at the 2020 AANEM Annual Meeting!

The following sessions have been designated for Part II SA credit toward maintenance of certification. Of the 6 available sessions, attendees must attend 2 for every 9 SA CMEs they would like to earn. Due to ABPN & ABPMR guidelines, SA CME will only be given for every combination of 2 sessions you attend. AANEM will report completion of each SA activity to ABPN and ABPMR. The maximum available SA CMEs for Physicians is 27.

Complete the post-tests for Self-Assessment Courses or Checkpoints after attending the eligible sessions to gain SA CME or Checkpoint credits. Post-tests must be completed by December 15, 2020.

Important Information to Know:

  • You must attend, and pass the post-test for 2 sessions to receive 9 Self-Assessment credits. Partial credit is not available.
  • Credit will only be awarded to those who attend the live session, and receive a passing score of 70% on the post-test. A link to the post-test will be posted on our website. 
  • AANEM will report completion of each SA activity to American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).
     

CNCT Checkpoint

Technologists looking to earn Checkpoint credit toward their CNCT maintenance of certification can attend the following sessions to earn one Checkpoint per session.  AANEM will report completion to ABEM. All CNCT registrants are given one Checkpoint credit for registering and attending the meeting.  This provides a total of 4 Checkpoint opportunities when attending the 2020 AANEM Annual Meeting!
