Registration Fees
Either the General Registration or Friday/Saturday Registration fee is mandatory for all registrants. Attendees may rotate between sessions of their choice included in their registration fee at no additional cost.

Industry Forums/Satellite Symposia
Industry Forums are not an official part of the AANEM meeting. The content and views expressed are those of the educational sponsor and faculty and not of the AANEM. The sessions are open to all attendees on a first-come-first-served basis.
Courses, Symposia, and SIGs
These sessions are included in your fee. The rooms will be set for maximum seating. To be assured a seat, arrive early to the session. No refunds are available if a session is full and seating is not available.

You can register by mailing or faxing the registration form. Confirmation will be sent to you within 2 weeks of receipt (allow more time if you are an overseas registrant).

Payment
All fees must be paid in U.S. dollars.
Full payment by check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only) is required. To receive member rates, your 2009 dues must be current. If your dues payment has not been received, the current amount owing will automatically be assessed.Cancellation/Refund Policy
- Cancel prior to August 12: Cancellation fee = $50.
- Cancel August 12-September 16: Cancellation fee = 20% of total registration or $100, whichever is greater.
- Cancel after September 16: No refunds!
- Onsite cancellation of individual sessions with limited enrollment (Workshops, Demonstrations, Morning Seminars, Expert Roundtables, Tours, and Social Event): refunded only if your ticket is resold.

Disclaimer Statement
Presenters at this conference will disclose any conflicts of interest or their intention to discuss off-label use, if applicable, in the official Program Book and at the beginning of their presentation in accordance with American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) standards and FDA requirements. Disclosures will also be published in Course materials.
Accreditation Statement
The AANEM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. The AANEM designates this activity for a maximum of 34.75 hours in AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. This educational event is approved as an Accredited Group Learning Activity under Section 1 of the Framework of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) options for the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit he or she actually spent in the educational activity.
Event Prerequisite
The AANEM educational sessions are designed for practicing physicians and are open only to persons with an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree unless otherwise noted. DVM, DDS, PhD, and other health professionals: Contact the AANEM office.
Photography and Recording
Audiotaping, videotaping, or any type of photography (including the use of cell phone cameras and other hand-held devices) by any individual of any session is NOT permitted.
Children and Infants
San Diego, California is an ideal destination for a family vacation and we encourage attendees to make the most of this opportunity. However, for the safety of all attendees, infants and children are prohibited from attending educational sessions. Children must be accompanied by an attendee when visiting the exhibit hall during regular exhibit hall hours. Children and meeting attendees are not allowed on the exhibit hall floor during the hours of set up or tear down. Children may attend the President’s Reception, Wednesday, October 7, at no charge if registered as a guest. Refer to the Registration Form (middle insert) to register guests.
Guests
Your registration fee includes your guests. Guests may attend the President’s Reception, visit the Exhibit Hall, and join you at the coffee breaks. A badge is required—be sure to list your guest(s) on the Registration Form.
AANEM Promotion
Photographs taken during the meeting by AANEM staff and contractors will be used in future AANEM material or on the AANEM website.
ABPN MOC Approval
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed the 2009 AANEM Annual Meeting and has approved this program as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification (MOC).

Internet
Both wired and wireless internet connections are available in all guest rooms at the meeting hotel. WiFi technology is available in the Grand Lobby Bar at the hotel and a free cyber café will also be offered.
Poster Viewing
Posters 1-72 can be viewed Thursday, October 8, beginning at 8:00 AM through Friday, October 9, at 2:00 PM. Posters 75 – 145 can be viewed beginning at Friday, October 9, at 3:00 PM through Saturday, October 10, at 2:00 pm. Authors will be available for discussion at their designated times on Friday and Saturday depending on the number of their abstract from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm each day.
Exhibit Hall
Visit approximately 50 companies in the Exhibit Hall to learn about the latest products and services relevant specifically to your medical specialty or practice. NEW in 2009 -- The grand opening of the exhibit hall will take place during the President's Reception

Course & Workshop Handouts
Attendees who have purchased the full meeting registration will receive all course handouts. Workshop handouts will be provided for all registered workshop attendees. Friday/Saturday registrants receive handouts for Friday sessions.
Silent Auction
The AANEM Foundation Silent Auction will take place during the annual meeting. All proceeds from the auction support the research and education efforts of the AANEM Foundation for Research and Education.
