Clinical neuromuscular disease and EMG fellowship. The fellow will learn electromyography under the guidance of 3 ABEM certified electromyographers. There is a wide variety of neuromuscular cases seen including many neuropathy patients, a large ALS clinic, pain and musculoskeletal clinic, a Botox clinic and a large populations of pediatric neuromuscular cases at Children's National Medical Center, which is a GW-affiliated program. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Instructor and will be part of the faculty. In the second half of the year, he/she may be asked to take call as a faculty member and attend on the hospital service for at least one rotation. EMG duties will consist of 4 half-days per week. Clinic time will also be 4 half-days per week. The fellow will be expected to initiate and complete a clinical research project during the year. |
