The AANEM is soliciting case studies related to the field of electrodiagnostic, neuromuscular, and musculoskeletal issues. Cases that are accepted give individuals an excellent opportunity to share relevant information within the field of electrodiagnostic medicine. Interested individuals should base their submissions on an actual case whenever possible.
The case should demonstrate the application of current research and practice as well as new interventions or techniques. Cases submitted should not highlight non-FDA approved medical interventions (e.g., unapproved medications, equipment). However, reference may be made to a non-approved medical intervention if scientifically relevant and an appropriate disclaimer is attached.
Instructions for Submitting a Case Study
Create an MS Word file with the following contact information and submit as an email attachment to Stacie Stucky:
- author full name and title
- author institution
- telephone number
- fax number
- e-mail address
- case study title
Also provide the following case information:
- subspecialty the case represents
- presenting symptom(s)
- case-specific diagnosis
- a brief description of the case including information on interventions to be highlighted.
Once received, the case will be forwarded to the AANEM Education Committee for review and consideration. While every effort will be made to adapt these cases to the requirements of the Online Case Study Program, not all cases submitted will be used. If your case is accepted, you will be contacted. You will use the specified guidelines and timelines to finalize the case composition prior to online publication.
The AANEM Education Committee looks forward to receiving submissions and thanks you in advance for your interest. Questions or comments about case submissions should be directed to Stacie Stucky at the AANEM Executive Office by e-mail or telephone (507) 288-0100.
