The AANEM Board of Directors approved a new award to recognize technologists who are the first authors on abstracts submitted to the annual meeting. The first Technologist Member Recognition Awards will be given for the AANEM’s 58th Annual Meeting.
Deadline for Submissions is March 15, 2011.
Award subject and criteria:
The AANEM Technologist Member Recognition Award encourages technologists to conduct and share research to advance the science of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal diseases. The award was proposed by the Technologist Expansion Committee at its October 2010 meeting. Technologists can submit abstracts and posters for the annual meeting. In addition, they are eligible for the Foundation’s poster awards: the President’s Award and Best Abstract Award.
The Technologist Member Recognition Award winners will receive:
- $200 cash
- Recognition in the program book and at the AANEM Annual Meeting
- Abstract published in Muscle & Nerve and Clinical Neurophysiology
