President's Research Initiative Awards

Each year the AANEM President chooses a topic for research for the AANEM annual meeting. Up to 10 abstracts submitted to the annual meeting on this topic will receive the President's Research Initiative Award. In 2010, five President's Award winners were named.

Deadline for Submissions is March 15, 2011.

Award subject and criteria:
2011 Topic: Abstracts that further our knowledge regarding the role of EDX at improving quality of life or care efficiency.  Specifically, research that brings forward new information about the extent to which EDX services i) inform optimal clinical patient management,  ii) more accurately predict clinical trajectories and patient outcomes, or iii) lead to more efficient diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.  Abstracts submitted are reviewed on:
  • Innovation
  • Quality
The President's Award recipients receive: 
  •  $500 cash
  •  Abstract published in Muscle & Nerve and Clinical Neurophysiology.
  •  Recognition in the program book and at the AANEM Annual Meeting.
