This fellowship will provide training in clinical electrodiagnostic medicine and nerve conduction studies and is designed to meet the requirements for certification by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Additional training in single fiber EMG, electroencephalography, evoked potentials, near-neurography, motor unit estimates, quantitative EMG, and intraoperative monitoring is available. The neuromuscular disease portion of the fellowship involves attendance at weekly Neuromuscular Diseases Clinics, including the only adult Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic in the state. Neuromuscular pathology is taught in a weekly session with a neuropathologist. Clinical research by the fellow is encouraged, but not required.
